What kind of energy does a windmill produce?

Also its probably a stupid question but does it use wind energy to make energy? And it doesn’t matter what type of windmill it is just give me a couple of different types of energy it can produce.

take energy from the wind to turn the windmill to make kinetic energy. The kinetic energy can be converted into electricity

“Wind Energy” is produced by the wind,not a windMILL. A windmill converts the wind into MECHANICAL energy, at one time just left that way to turn a wheel that would grind grain or pump water. Today’s versions turn wind energy into mechanical energy to run a turbine and generate electricity. D’oh.
